Think YouTube meets iTunes. We created TubeRadio.fm as a web application with a music player user interface built around the music experience. This means first and foremost that anything that a user does on the site does not interrupt the music. We combine the use of YouTube videos with artist and lyrics databases to provide the user with not only an easy way to find and manage music online, but also provide all the information surrounding the music such as the lyrics, artist bio, similar artists, and list of releases.
We simplified the process of finding music by giving the user a way to search on the artist’s discography or song. The discography search completely automates the process of finding music. All the user needs to do is select which albums they’d like to add to their playlist and TubeRadio automatically finds a video for every song of each album selected. If the user wants to find a specific song, they are presented with a list of videos, which can be instantly added to the playlist and will be organised by title, artist, and album name.
Being a web application, there is no download or install. It is independent of operating system and does not require sign up to create playlists. Signing up is free and with it, the user gets a profile and their playlists are saved for access anywhere. They can add friends, share playlists on the site, twitter, facebook and email.
