TouchType Ltd. was founded in August 2008 by Jon Reynolds (CEO) and Ben Medlock (CTO) in order to apply artificial intellgience technology to improve the experience of typing on a touchscreen phone.
After three investment rounds, the company has raised over $1.5M and is growing fast.
TouchType works alongside leading technology manufacturers, mobile operators and software developers to bring customers the highest standards in language technology. It offers consumer solutions such as SwiftKey, the popular text prediction keyboard for Android handsets, as well the backend Fluency engine for developer partners.
TouchType has partnered with a hardware manufacturer to include its patent-pending Fluency language prediction technology on three new Google Android handsets, due for release at MWC 2011.
