How we started: MOVILOK was founded in 2002 in Madrid as a registered company by three experienced Telecommunication Engineers and enterpreneurs

Our security&mobility product: movilokID.
Fact#1: Static passwords are not safe but they are widely used to access systems, networks, services and transactions. In this cases security is related to how good are users taking care of their passwords. But,.. in an online world all (as users) we have too many passwords to keep.
Fact#2: In our everyday real life, the access to places, gates,doors, work place, is usually done with very simple authentication methods: a key, a RFID card, a magnetic card, a remote control to open the garage. In this cases, security is also related to how good is the user taking care of these devices.
MovilokID proposal
One can achieve a significant increase in security using ‘Strong Authentication' for the access to systems and services and OATH (openauthentication.org) provides an adequate conceptual framework. In strong authentication, the element who grants the access depends on two factors: something you know and something you have
MovilokID applies 'OATH' security vision for accessing to logical resources (on-line services) and also extends the solution for accessing to physical resources (places, doors), and only using the user's mobile phone.
