Since 2005, physician Alexander Børve has had the vision to make health care more accessible to the citizen and involve the citizen in his own health, a concept coined by the WHO and called eHealth. The result has been the development of a mobile medical information service, where the citizen can ask a physician specialised in skin diseases (dermatologist) and receive a response within 24 hours on any visual concern. Today the service has created the "wow" feeling to our users. Results so far show that about 70% receive self-care information, and about 30% are advised to see a physician face-to-face, which can prevent "patients delay". iDoc24’s vision is to provide sound medical information in the mobile telephone anytime, anyone, anywhere, any device 24/7.
Since December 2009 iDoc24 is in the famous STING incubator in Stockholm, Sweden.
