taxi² mobile app
The taxi² mobile app can be used standalone or as an extension of the taxi² webpage and it's clever taxi² ticket (described in the overview). The app enables the user to find other travelers willing to share a taxi using either bluetooth matching or using the taxi² visual + audio signal. When used as an extension of a signup on the webpage the user can sync the information from the web about the final destination and get a map showing the destination, taxi driver instructions in the local language etc down to the app, together with tips of local highlight of stuff to do in the destination area.
The app is done in j2me to get the widest coverage of users right now, and is able to run on Android using the Netmite j2me runner.
